Give up the Doubt

The entire universe is held in place by a power that we intuit to be real. Surely our life is included in this, and at some point we are going to have to accept this force as sovereign. Give up the doubt my friends and the false thinking that peace and harmony means a pain-free and comfortable existence with no place for the spectrum of our humanity.

Time to get Serious

Recognize that you are an ego and do not pretend to have wings by using non-duality jargon. Start with the truth and be honest: You feel separated and are not rock solid about your relationship to death. We oscillate between feeling sure and feeling completely uncertain according to mind/body conditions. Therefore if you are ready, get serious about reconciling your relationship with the unknown; which is God, which is life, and has the power alone to reveal the secrets of the cosmos. If you feel this is for you, it is time to put all your chips in and say this aloud:

I am not here to stand but to kneel.
I am not here to be fulfilled but emptied.
I am not here to begin but to end.
I am not here to gain but to lose.
I am not here to take but to serve:
You can have me.

Awakening

Awakening can be defined as a fundamental transformation or dissolution of the exclusive “me” that has its identity in “I am the body and mind,” to a non-exclusive awareness that simultaneously sees itself in all things, times and places without a second of differentiation. This incorporates your particular body and personality, which becomes energized and made bright by the force of unimpeded grace that now flows freely in every aspect of your life.

Awakening

Awakening does not mean the denial or manipulation of mind/body phenomenon. On the contrary, it means a final release of the obsession to control them. A surrender so profound, all that is left is a living vessel brimming with the glow of the Unknown.

The Heart is Already Full

Stillness does not mean the absence of thought but rather remaining still without grasping in the presence of thoughts. Surely, thought has a contribution to the mechanical aspect of life, but it has absolutely nothing to contribute to the heart. The heart is already full, complete, and wholly entrenched in grace. Let mind be mind business and do not involve yourself with the preservation of “my life;” which is actually made up of nothing besides fleeting concepts and sensations which eclipse the bursting of loves light.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Look around at your environment and you can see diverse action taken place. At the same time, you sense that you are the unchanging observer. Know this: The thoughts and sensations that arise are also part of that objective environment. This is nature, whose chief quality is duality containing the good, the bad and the ugly. These are merely transient images on the reflecting surface of the only thing that is absolute: You. Therefore, do not be swayed into identification with thought or body sensations.

The Pathless Path

The path that leads to the center is unmarked and filled with uncertainty. There are many signs that point to it and it’s important to trust these, but the trail-head lies in one’s own heart. There is no guide when one steps onto it, as they must leave behind all that is known and familiar. Completely alone one travels forward, and it is only out of sheer devotion for the Inner Beloved that one is willing to pay the ultimate price and trade in “my life, my will.” This begins a journey for which one scarcely understands and there is no turning back from.
